Bernie Ecclestone will look to reschedule the Bahrain Grand Prix for the end of the season, possibly moving Brazil to accommodate the event.
The 80-year-old had hinted at moving the cancelled event to August, during the four-week break, though he has now scrapped that idea.
“Forget August, it’s too hot. It’s too hot for the public to sit in the grandstand when it’s 40 degrees,” he said.
Whilst unrest in the country continues, things have steadily improved since the original decison to cancel the event was made.
If things continue to improve further, Ecclestone says he will do his very best to give the country their race.
“We’ll have a look and see what we can do, how we can swap things round. Maybe we can change with Brazil, something like that.
“I don’t know how likely it is that there is going to be peace in Bahrain. But if there is, we will find a way.”
A decision is expected shortly as a WMSC meeting is planned for next week in which the matter will be discussed.
