Alfa Romeo has become the penultimate Formula 1 team to communicate details for its 2023 launch.

The Switzerland-based outfit will present its 2023 car, the C43, on February 7 in Zurich.

Alfa Romeo finished sixth in last year’s standings, its best result in a decade, as it resisted a late charge from Aston Martin.

Alfa Romeo will retain branding of Sauber’s Formula 1 team in 2023, as it has done since 2019, though is set to exit at the end of the year amid Sauber’s long-term tie-in with Audi.

It enters the new season with an unchanged line-up of Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu.

Théo Pourchaire, who will contest a third season of Formula 2, will act as Alfa Romeo’s reserve driver.

Alfa Romeo remains without a Team Principal following the departure of Frederic Vasseur to Ferrari.

Alfa Romeo’s parent company Sauber Motorsport recruited Andreas Seidl as its new CEO but he will seek a direct replacement for Vasseur rather than hold both roles as per his predecessor.
