Who did team bosses list as their top 10 2022 F1 drivers?

The annual top 10 drivers list compiled by Formula 1 team bosses it out, in which the best performers of the 2022 campaign are ranked.

The votes, which were conducted by F1 and kept a secret, work in the same way the F1 points do – drivers are listed from one to 10, receiving 25 points, then 18, etc.

It’s no surprise that Max Verstappen, who secured his second title in dominant fashion this year, cruised to the top of the list.

The Dutchman won 15 grands prix during the year and amassed 207 out of a possible 250 points from the team boss votes.

Charles Leclerc, who finished runner-up in the championship, was second – 63 points down on Verstappen.

Following his first season for Mercedes, George Russell found himself in third place ahead of team-mate Lewis Hamilton.

Lando Norris was sixth after a strong run throughout the year, as he consistently out-paced team-mate Daniel Ricciardo.

Carlos Sainz was seventh, ahead of compatriot Fernando Alonso.

Valtteri Bottas was ninth, with Sebastian Vettel rounding out the list in his final year in the sport.

F1 clarified that the team bosses that participated in the votes were; Mattia Binotto, Jost Capito, Christian Horner, Mike Krack, Andreas Seidl, Guenther Steiner, Otmar Szafnauer, Franz Tost, Fred Vasseur and Toto Wolff.
