With a 47% chance of rain falling later in the day, it was New York E-Prix winner Nick Cassidy who topped the timing sheet.

Nick Cassidy set the quickest time of the weekend (1:12.933s) in the practice session ahead of Round 14 of the London E-Prix.

Only 0.039s behind was DS Tcheetah’s Antonio Félix Da Costa. Robin Frijns and Sergio Sette Camara closed the top 4 in less than a tenth, with gaps of 0.093s and 0.097s respectively.

Round 13 winner Jake Dennis finished the session in 5th position, followed by Pascal Wehrlein and Stoffel Vandoorne in 6th and 7th.

Edoardo Mortara touched the wall in Turn 9, but was able to top the timing sheet for a while before sliding down to 8th towards the final minutes. His Venturi teammate Lucas Di Grassi closed the top 10, just behind Oliver Rowland of Mahindra Racing.

Mitch Evans and Nyck de Vries were 11th and 12th, but only two and a half tenths away from Cassidy’s best time.

It will be a highly competitive round of Duels later on in the day, with the entire field up to Jean-Eric Vergne in 13th position enclosed within 3 tenths.

The session was characterised by the presence of angry grey clouds in the outdoor section of the London ExCeL Circuit. Light rain is forecasted for the day, amping up the potential for chaos on the indoors-to-outdoors British layout.
