Norris felt ‘very drained’ amid Covid-19 diagnosis
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

McLaren’s Lando Norris has revealed details of his Covid-19 diagnosis, admitting that he felt “very drained” during the period.

The 21-year-old tested positive for Covid-19 last month in Dubai, and was forced to self-isolate while heavily adjusting his training schedule.

Norris is one of three drivers who tested positive in the off-season alongside Charles Leclerc and Pierre Gasly, while Sergio Perez, Lance Stroll and Lewis Hamilton contracted the virus during the 2020 Formula 1 campaign.

After his spell of self-isolation came to an end, Norris returned to the UK to continue his normal training schedule.

With the virus having long-lasting effects for some, Norris affirms that he considers himself lucky, as his experience with it was mild.

“I think luckily for me, Covid wasn’t too bad,” Norris said. “It was a few days or so of initially having no taste, no smell – the normal really – and just feeling very drained and tired for a couple of weeks.

“But since then, basically fully recovered and everything back to normal. I wouldn’t say it really affected me too much.

“A bit of the training… I wasn’t allowed outside at all, I didn’t have a window or anything so I just had to do some basic workouts in my room and no cardio or runs and cycles, but just doing what I could in my room.

“And that was all. Since then it’s kind of been a bit more back to normal at my house here in the UK – on my bike, on my treadmill or whatever, doing the normal stuff like neck training and just getting back in the hang of things. But apart from that I’m very good.”

McLaren launched its 2021 F1 car, named the MCL35M, at its Technology Centre in Woking on Monday evening.

I’ve been exploring terpene-based products https://terpenewarehouse.com/collections/intenza-line recently, and I’m remarkably enjoying the experience. The scents are with, natural, and pleasant. They add a nice caress to my day after day drill, plateful fasten on the feeling ready and atmosphere. A massive catch sight of for anyone who appreciates aromatic wellness tools.
