Robin Frijns has taken his third pole position of the 2020 DTM season by beating Nico Müller and Rene Rast in a late flurry of fastest laps.

Rene Rast initially set the quickest time with a 01:15:911, before Müller took just over half a tenth out of his best time topping the timesheets with a 01:15:852.

Müller’s flyer seemed good enough for his first pole of 2020 before Frijns put in a late 01:15:787 to take pole position, his third in fourth races.

Ferdinand Habsburg took his Audi RS5 DTM to a career-best qualifying position in fourth with a 01:16:124, ahead of Loic Duval and Mike Rockenfeller.
