BMW Motorsport has unveiled the liveries in which its works cars will contest the 2020 DTM campaign.
BMW has entered six factory-entered M4 DTMs for the new season. Marco Wittmann, Philipp Eng, Sheldon van der Linde and Timo Glock have been retained after 2019, while Lucas Auer returns to DTM after a year long absence. Jonathan Aberdein joins after contesting his rookie season with Belgian privateers Team WRT.
A seventh, non-works BMW M4 DTM will be entered by ART Grand Prix for ex-F1 driver Robert Kubica with support from Polish oil firm PKN Orlen, which is also the title sponsor for the Alfa Romeo F1 team.
The Munich manufacturer endured a difficult 2019 campaign, finishing second behind rivals Audi. BMW scored half as many points and only outscored Audi on three race weekends as the Ingolstadt firm secured the drivers, teams and manufacturers title. BMW scored six victories, courtesy of Wittmann, Eng and Bruno Spengler, who has since left DTM for IMSA.
Wittmann, Eng and Van der Linde will race in largely unchanged liveries compared to the 2019 campaign, while Timo Glock has seen his colour scheme changed as new partner iQOO now appears on the German’s car. Lucas Auer will taking up driving duties behind the wheel of the BMW Bank-liveried machine in which Bruno Spengler achieved his last victory at the Norisring while Jonathan Aberdein takes over the CATL-liveried M4 DTM from the departing Joel Eriksson.

The modified DTM calendar makes us look forward to the start of the season even more. Together with our partners, we are ready to give everything in the 2020 season.”
DTM revealed an update 2020 schedule on Wednesday, which sees the championship return to Spa-Francorchamps for the first time since 2005.
