Porsche has unveiled the liveries for the four cars with which it will content the 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual on June 13-14, with the schemes paying tribute to the 50th anniversary of its maiden victory in the French endurance classic.

June 14 marks exactly fifty years since Hans Herrmann and Richard Attwood took the German manufacturer’s first overall win at Le Mans with their Porsche 917K.

To commemorate the first of what would become 19 victories at the Circuit de La Sarthe, each of the four cars has ‘1970’ written on the top, as well as displaying the drivers’ names, the car, engine and number of laps completed written on the rear flank.

Porsche has selected a star-studded line-up for the virtual twice-around-the-clock enduro that includes former real-life overall Le Mans winners Andre Lotterer, Neel Jani and Nick Tandy as well as factory GT drivers Patrick Pilet and Matt Campbell alongside Simone da Silvestro and junior drivers Jaxon Evans and Ayhancan Güven.
