Sauber launches clothing range to support Save the Children

Sauber Group has collaborated with fashion experts Creightivist to launch a special collection that will raise funds for Save the Children during the current pandemic.

A range of clothing apparel, including sweatshirts and T-shirts, has been launched under the #GarageTime brand, featuring retro and current wallpapers.

The wallpapers celebrate 14 of last year’s grands prix, as well as the abandoned 2020 Australian race, with designs by Valencia-based illustrator Juan Alcalá.

The promotion for the range centres around the ‘Sauber House’, which imagines how its drivers – racers Kimi Raikkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi, along with testers Robert Kubica and Tatiana Calderon – are spending lockdown.

Funds raised by the #GarageTime campaign will be donated to Sauber Group’s official charity partner, Save the Children.

Those who purchase the products will be able to enter a raffle to win a prize offered by the team.

Sauber has raced in Formula 1 since 1993 and last year competed under the Alfa Romeo Racing moniker, following an agreement with the manufacturer.

“Sharing is caring and solidarity in the truest sense of the word is the only way to cope with the crisis affecting the entire world,” said Sauber Group CEO Frederic Vasseur.

“Social responsibility has always played an important part of our corporate culture.

“I am proud that we, as Sauber Group, in cooperation with our partner Save the Children and with Creightivist, are devoted to turn this crisis into an opportunity to support the most fragile members of the global society: the children worldwide.”

Alfa Romeo racer Kimi Raikkonen added: “Not every child has a shelter in times of pandemic, so it is important we do what we can to help Save the Children reach out to them.

“I invite you all to join us in the #GarageTime project and play your part to support children in need.”
