The NAPA Racing UK driver will exit the British Touring Car Championship after eight seasons of competition, following the Brands Hatch GP finale.
After Tom Chilton announced his own retirement on Friday, NAPA Racing UK confirmed that Osborne would be exiting the series prior to Saturday’s Free Practice session.
Osborne joined the grid in 2019 in Excelr8’s MG 6, stepping up after two years in the Renault Clio Cup.
He switched to MB Motorsport’s Honda Civic in 2020, claiming his first two top 10 finishes in the series, before switching to Alliance Racing from 2021 – where he would remain for the rest of the career.
His best Drivers’ Championship result came in 2024 with a P15, while he would claim his first series victory at Silverstone’s Race 3 in 2025.
Currently sitting P18 in the standings, the Brands weekend offers the opportunity for Osborne to finish with a flourish.
“I’m retiring from racing,” said Osborne.
“We’ve come a fairly long way since we first rocked up, so it’s a bit of a journey.”
Asked on his Race 3 victory at Silverstone, Osborne admitted: “I was nervous all the way through, until Cook made a mistake at Luffield. All of a sudden I saw that gap and I was like, yeah we’ve got this.
“That [told us] we can actually do it, we can actually fight with these guys and get a good result at the end of it.
“But, there’s a lot going on at the moment. [I’m a] dad-to-be,” he concluded, before saying he’ll struggle to stay away from racing.
“Thank you to all the guys and girls [at NAPA Racing UK] who put in the time and effort, they’ve all done a mega job.”
