The Circuit of The Americas is giving Formula 1 fans early access to action with a new ticket for its 2026 race weekend.
The Austin venue announced a new Grand PrixView Thursday experience, which allows fans to access the circuit earlier than a traditional three-day pass.
The $20 USD standalone ticket allows fans to enter the circuit on Thursday ahead of the race weekend for the first time in the race’s history.
Those attending will have access to an F1 pitlane walk as well as F1 Academy track activity and the paddock. Fans will also be able to explore the circuit’s fan villages, merchandise outlets and F1 Fan Zone.
COTA’s theme park will also operate separately throughout the day, providing another attraction for those arriving at the circuit ahead of the main race weekend.
This experience follows a growing trend across F1 circuits, providing fans with greater access to the sport beyond the on-track action.
The Australian and Abu Dhabi Grands Prix are amongst many others that continually offer similar experiences. Ultimately, media day now serves as an opportunity for fans to explore the circuit and get closer to the teams and drivers before cars hit the track.
COTA chairman and founder Bobby Epstein highlighted that the added experience was designed to bring fans closer to the sport. Moreover, it comes amid fears that F1 is growing increasingly inaccessible by the day.
“We’re always looking for ways to make F1 more accessible,” Epstein said.
“Grand PrixView Thursday is like an open house for our Central Texas community. For just $20, you can come, get up close with F1 and see what all the excitement is about.”
