Max Verstappen 24 hour race entry triggers major Nurburgring announcement
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Max Verstappen‘s participation in this weekend’s 24 Hours of Nurburgring has drawn keen interest, and therefore triggered a major announcement from the race’s organisers.

The Red Bull driver’s long-held ambition to race in the prestigious event on the circuit’s infamous Nordschleife layout will finally become reality this weekend.

Verstappen has partaken in all the preliminary events on the circuit in order to certify his validity to compete, and will race the #3 Red Bull-liveried Mercedes AMG alongside Lucas Auer,
Jules Gounon and Dani Juncadella.

It has led to a huge spike in interest in GT3 racing, and crowds at races in the series, particularly when Verstappen is racing, have risen spectacularly.

So much so that Der Allgemeine Deutsche Automobil-Club – ADAC – has issued the following statement on its social media.

Max Verstappen is exploring life away from F1 in 2026
Max Verstappen will compete in the 24 Hours of Nurburgring

“WEEKEND TICKETS SOLD OUT,” it read.

“For the first time in the history of the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring.

“There will be no ticket sales at the box office on Saturday! Please do not travel without a valid ticket under any circumstances.

“Want to be there? At the moment day tickets for Thursday, Friday and Sunday are still available. The best way to secure them is online via our website.

“Also important: Please arrive as early as possible!

“We can’t wait to experience the coming days together with all of you.”

Without a doubt, Verstappen wields huge influence in whatever he is doing. His participation harks back to the days of when racing drivers would compete in various series, and victory would add to the already-impressive compendium of achievements for the four-time World Champion.
