Isack Hadjar has crashed his Red Bull on the second day of the Formula 1 pre-season test, amid rainfall at the Circuit de-Barcelona Catalunya.

The Frenchman topped the timesheets on Monday’s opening day of running, which has been shrouded in secrecy with teams giving its cars an initial shakedown.

On Tuesday, Hadjar shared the running with Max Verstappen, who also had an off, taking a trip to the gravel trap at Turn 5 in the morning session.

But the 21-year-old went a stage further, appearing to have slid backwards into the wall at Turn 15, damaging the rear end of the RB22.

The security measures put in place around the circuit has rendered amateur footage to little more than gold dust, in terms of seeing any imagery of the cars that have not been posted by the teams themselves on their respective social media platforms.

It meant that a video of Hadjar’s incident was caught by someone in the grounds of the track and quickly circulated social media.
