Lando Norris went fastest in FP3 for the Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix, pipping Charles Leclerc with qualifying at Monza just hours away.

The McLaren driver’s 1:19.331s was enough to secure top spot in the final practice session of the weekend, just two hundredths of a second ahead of the Ferrari.

Oscar Piastri put the second McLaren in second place, a further tenth-and-a-half behind, with Max Verstappen fourth.

George Russell was fifth for Mercedes, with Gabriel Bortoleto an impressive sixth ahead of Lewis Hamilton in seventh.

Alex Albon was rounded up the top 10, with Nico Hulkenberg 11th.

Fernando Alonso was 12th-fastest, ahead of compatiot Carlos Sainz, with Franco Colapinto 14th.

Yuki Tsunoda was 15th in his Red Bull, half-a-second down on his team-mate, with Liam Lawson and Oliver Bearman 16th and 17th.

Pierre Gasly, whose long-term deal with Alpine was announced earlier in the morning, was 18th, with Lance Stroll and Esteban Ocon footing the classification.

McLaren will be looking to cement its dominance at Monza after another commanding victrory via Piastri in Zandvoort last week.

Norris will be hoping to bounce back after a technical issue caused him to retire in Holland, with Ferrari seeking to secure a positive result in front of its home crowd.
