McLaren heads the FIA’s upgrades sheet for this weekend’s Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix, as all the grid’s big hitters also bring alterations to their cars.

The Woking-based squad arrives at Monza with commanding leads in both the Drivers’ and Constructors’ Championship races, the MCL39 being the class of the grid.

But there is no resting on laurels for the team this weekend, as it opts to implement five changes.

The first is its singular performance-based upgrade, reprofiled front suspension fairings, used to improve flow conditioning coupled with a low drag configuration.

Its other four changes are centred around both front and rear wings. Low downforce rear and beam wings are fitted to trigger better drag, with the former also given a facelift with a reduced chord flap.

A trimmed front wing flap is also in place to work in conjunction with the rear wing, designed to maximise downforce on the fast old circuit.

Ferrari, looking to score a positive result in front of its home fans, also brings similar changes, with chord flap changes, a reprofiled rear wing and a revised lower beam wing.

Red Bull has four changes: another front wing chord flap change, with a further three – the surfaces, geometries, and profiling of its floor.

Mercedes will race with three changes, on its front and rear wings and floor fences, designed to improve load and drag.

Aston Martin brings one solitary upgrade in the shape of a “less aggressive” rear wing flap option, with midfield rivals Alpine choosing to bring no upgrades, followed by Haas, which brings one – another front wing chord flap adjustment.

Racing Bulls, looking to capitalise on its strong showing in Zandvoort, has four changes. In comes a reprofiled rear wing and floor tweaks, along with a reshaped sidepod and updated mirror housing.

Williams, which also competed well in Holland, has front and rear wing tweaks, with Sauber, like Alpine, also bringing nothing new, as it will keep its mind on 2026.
