Formula 1 has confirmed its Sprint Race calendar for the 2026 season, with three inclusions on the six-race schedule that are new to the format.
F1 has revealed its Sprint calendar in full, the fifth in its history, with Singapore’s Marina Bay circuit becoming perhaps its most surprising inclusion.
A twisty street circuit, Marina Bay is not known for being fraught with overtaking spots, but a pivot from the night race to a Saturday afternoon Sprint, on October 10, will create intrigue.
Zandvoort, in its final year as an F1 circuit – for the time being at least – is confirmed to be another, taking place on August 22.
The first will be in Shanghai over the Chinese Grand Prix weekend, on March 14, with the second taking place on May 2 in Miami.
The Circuit Gilles Villeneuve will also be given a Sprint in its new late-Spring slot on the calendar, taking place on May 23.
Silverstone returns as a Sprint venue too, having last hosted the first ever one in 2021. It will take place on July 4.
Three new F1 Sprint locations will ‘add to the drama’ – Domenicali
