Antonio Giovinazzi has renewed his seat with the Ferrari Hypercar team with a multi-year contract in the FIA World Endurance Championship effort.

The Scuderia Ferrari reserve driver joined the factory-backed Ferrari AF Corse team in their maiden Hypercar campaign in 2023.

He won the highly regarded Centenary edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans with his #51 Ferrari 499P team-mates James Calado and Alessandro Pier Guidi, who remained team-mates into the ongoing 2025 WEC season.

Now continuing in his WEC and F1 roles, he said: “Eight years ago, I began my adventure with Ferrari, which for me is much more than a team: It’s a family.

“Renewing today means continuing a challenge that gets me charged up every day, in an environment where people, teamwork and ambition matter.

“Being an official driver in the WEC and the third driver in Formula 1 is a commitment that I am honoured and excited to undertake.

“I want to thank Ferrari for their continued faith in me: Growing in these team colours is truly special.

“I can’t wait for the next chapters of this story, which I will embark on with the commitment, passion and hunger for results that have always been part of me.”

Ferrari’s #51 crew won one race so far this year, at the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps earlier on 10 May.

The #83 privateer-entered AF Corse Ferrari won the fourth and most recent round of the WEC, the Le Mans 24 Hours, last month, as the #51 crew finished in third place.

This announcement comes ahead of the next race this weekend on Sunday 13 July at Sao Paulo, where Giovinazzi and his co-drivers finished fifth last year ahead of the sibling #51 factory Ferrari.
