IndyCar visited Mid-Ohio over the weekend for Honda’s home event and a race on the 2.26-mile, elevation-filled course.

Scott Dixon earned his first win of the season by taking advantage of a late mistake by his team-mate Alex Palou. The late pass allowed Dixon’s fuel strategy to pay off as he logged his 59th career win.

Palou crossed the line second after leading most of the race, and Christian Lundgaard impressively held on to take his fourth podium of the season.

Team Penske’s troubles worsened, if such a thing is possible, with Josef Newgarden losing control while braking into the first corner of the race on lap 1. He spun into the gravel and bounced off the Armco, which ended his day on the spot.

A few laps later, Will Power retired after his car developed major engine issues. The famous team cannot seem to catch a break as the season rolls on past the halfway point.

There is no rest for the paddock, as next weekend holds a double-header on the banks of Iowa Speedway.
