Adrian Newey will be in attendance at the Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix this weekend, the first time the technical guru will be present as part of Aston Martin.
Newey officially joined the Silverstone-based squad at the start of March, after a prolonged spell of gardening leave upon his exit from Red Bull.
The 66-year-old was lured by the British marque – headed-up by Lawrence Stroll – to ditch Red Bull for a change of scenery, in a deal which was secured with the help of the late Eddie Jordan.
In the weeks since officially taking-up his role as Managing Technical Partner with Aston, Newey has been casting his beady eye over the new regulations for 2026, ones which he recently described as “scary” in his first interview since joining the team.

However, in the in-house interview, Newey revealed he had been having “lunchtime discussions” with personnel within Aston Martin about how to improve its current AMR25, which has been left floundering in its battle with the midfield teams, with a meagre 14 points banked so far this season.
Newey’s input is therefore more than likely needed, and his presence at the principality this weekend may provide a much needed boost to both Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll.
The team managed to find some improvements at Imola, with Alonso and Stroll qualifying fifth and eighth respectively.
However, its race pace was still left wanting, with both cars finishing outside the points, Alonso narrowly missing out on 10th.
