Red Bull has unveiled the livery that will adorn the RB21 car that Max Verstappen will attempt to retain the Drivers’ title with once again in the 2025 Formula 1 season.

Red Bull revealed the design scheme that it will sport in the upcoming campaign at the F1 75 season launch event alongside the other nine incumbent teams at London’s O2.

Verstappen hinted that he hoped Red Bull would tweak the unchanged livery with a matte finish that it has used since 2016, when he was promoted to the senior team.

However, Red Bull has retained an unchanged design, with the sole change being new partner Gate.io’s logo plastered on the rear wing having replaced ByBiT.

Verstappen heads into the new season aiming to extend his unbeaten reign to match the great Michael Schumacher and win five successive Drivers’ Championships.

The Dutchman reigned supreme once more in 2024, but it wasn’t a seamless run as turmoil behind the scenes and a slump in competitiveness could have derailed his bid.

Red Bull’s grasp on the Constructors’ title was relinquished amid all that, though, with McLaren and Ferrari demoting the squad to a distant third place in the overall standings.

Sergio Perez’s torrid end to the season – which included 21 points in the last 10 races – contributed to that and culminated in him losing the drive he had occupied since 2021.

Liam Lawson, who replaced the axed Daniel Ricciardo at the satellite team with six races to go in 2024, has been selected as the next driver in line to go up alongside Verstappen.

Lawson and Verstappen will get the chance to sample the RB21 when Red Bull run a shakedown in Bahrain prior to pre-season testing, having opted not to host one at Silverstone.

The RB21 will be the first Red Bull car since 2005 designed without Adrian Newey’s input, the esteemed F1 design guru poised to begin work with Aston Martin next month.
