When and where to watch the F1 75 season launch event

F1 75 will be a once-of-a-kind unique launch event for the 2025 season

Formula 1 is just one day away from staging its historic F1 75 launch event at London’s O2, and Motorsport Week has everything you need to know about the momentous occasion.

As part of F1’s newfound methods of engagement with fans, it is opening one of the British capital’s biggest entertainment venues to bring an exciting new one-off landmark showpiece event, which will also be broadcast on TV for those who did not get tickets.

Below are just some of the key things that you will need to look out for at F1 75.

TV coverage for F1 75

The event will be broadcast on Sky Sports F1 and Main Event in the UK, for those who did not secure any tickets, as well as all the world’s F1 broadcast partners. It will also be on F1’s official social media channels, including YouTube.

F1 teams to reveal new liveries

Expect the launch to have more colours than a Crayola box, because every single team will reveal its livery for the season ahead.

Williams and McLaren chose to launch their respective F1 machines with special one-off colour schemes last week and Haas has been spied on track in its new get-up, but it won’t be until Tuesday night that we see what each team has to offer.

Mercedes has also hinted at a return to its black livery, which was used in 2020 and 2021, initially to show solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement. It made a return in 2023, but, like ’22, ’24 was another year of predominantly silver. What will the team go with for 2025?

Red Bull has also teased the possibility of a tweak in its colours, amid a personal plea from star driver Max Verstappen that he would like a change.

Hamilton to make first official public appearance as Ferrari F1 driver

Lewis Hamilton will be amongst his home fans as a Ferrari driver for the first time.

The seven-time World Champion has already been seen by the partisan Italian fans when he tested a Ferrari for the first time last month, but this will be the first official public unveiling of Hamilton to fans, and what better way than it being in front of an adoring home crowd?

Hamilton will, of course, make up a quartet of British drivers on show, with Lando Norris looking to make 2025 his year, having been runner-up in 2024. George Russell, now the senior driver at Mercedes after Hamilton’s departure, will be there too along with Oliver Bearman, who will make his full F1 debut with Haas, having made two cameos with the team last year, as well as his stellar one-off performance for Ferrari in Jeddah.

Celebrities add to the F1 glitz and glamour

There will be a raft of famous faces who aren’t F1 drivers also on show. UK comedian Jack Whitehall – backed by F1TV regulars Laura Winter, Lawrence Barretto and Ariana Bravo – will host the event.

There will also be a musical extravaganza, with performances from US country singer Kane Brown, UK pop icons Take That, US rapper mgk and the composer of the F1 theme Bryan Tyler, who will appear as his alter ego We Are Dreaming, which will provide a unique musical and visual show.
