Alpine Executive Director Flavio Briatore may have revealed the possible livery for the 2025 Formula 1 car via a since-deleted post on Instagram.

The Enstone-based outfit heads into the new season with rookie Jack Doohan competing in his first full season for the team.

Pierre Gasly retains his seat whilst his former and fellow French compatriot Esteban Ocon leaves for Haas.

Franco Colapinto will act in a reserve team driver role after signing from Williams – whilst Doohan’s future in the sport remains in doubt with a possible mid-season change in play at Alpine.

But the 74-year-old may have already revealed a part of the plans for 2025 – even if it is only an apparent livery design for its A525 competitor.

Briatore posted a video on his Instagram story, which has since been deleted, of a marketing meeting taking place as he panned across the room.

On the table, photos of a concept Alpine F1 car could be seen with the traditional pink and blue colours adorned by the team since the BWT sponsor came aboard in 2022.

The video was reposted to X with a separate zoomed-in photo showcasing the probable livery design.

Whether the photos are genuine or not remains a question as fans will have to find out when the team rocks up for F1 75 at London’s O2 Arena on 18 January.

Alpine face Doohan and Colapinto dilemena

Briatore returned to the sport last year after Renault CEO Luca de Meo courted the Italian Businessman to make a comeback.

The former team principal had been banned after the infamous Crashgate incident that occurred in 2008 involving then Renault driver Fernando Alonso and Nelson Piquet Jr. at the Singapore Grand Prix.

Despite having his ban overturned a year later, Briatiore told Gazzetta dello Sport that he wouldn’t return to F1.

Fast forward 14 years later and he is a key member of Alpine making vital decisions, including the crucial decisions on the driver pairing for 2025.

His latest recruitment was the arrival of the young Argentine Colapinto after he impressed with Williams in his first few races in F1.

Briatore had already promoted Doohan from a reserve team role into a full-time seat for next season.

But the Australian will now have to deliver with an eager Colapinto waiting on the sidelines for an opportunity.

In a recent interview with Le Parisien, Briatore refused to offer any guarantees over Doohan’s future.

“If there is a driver who is not making progress, who is not bringing results, he will be changed,” he said.

A concerning statement for the 21-year-old, who only made his debut last year at the final race of the season in Abu Dhabi.
