Ferrari has revealed its 2025 F1 launch date

Ferrari has revealed it will launch its 2025 Formula 1 car the day after the official season launch event at the O2 in London.

The Scuderia posted a graphic on its X account reading “Get ready to meet our new challenger,” followed by: “Save the date – 19.02.25.”

The date is exactly one week before the first 2025 pre-season testing programme held in Bahrain.

The previous day will see the official season launch from F1 at the O2 in London, a first-of-its-kind event where all 10 teams and 20 drivers will be present to unveil their cars’ liveries to the public, with all tickets already sold out.

Ferrari has not disclosed any further information, it will be met with added intrigue as the London event and the team’s launch will likely be the first official appearances of Lewis Hamilton as one of its drivers.

Ferrari has seen an upturn in fortunes in 2024

‘Focus on performance’ crucial, says Vasseur

Ferrari’s Team Principal Fred Vasseur has indicated that both the O2 showcase and its launch are more than enough, as he leads the famed Maranello squad into the new season, having enjoyed a fair 2024.

The Scuderia narrowly lost out in the Constructors’ Championship to McLaren, with Charles Leclerc third in the Drivers’ standings, showing a significant upturn in speed and fortunes since the Frenchman took the helm of the team in 2023.

The strong end to this year will surely give Ferrari much confidence going into 2025, as it hopes to go one step further and seriously challenge for honours with Leclerc and Hamilton at the wheel.

Vasseur is all too aware of the task at hand, and at a media event in Maranello on Wednesday, he conveyed that the tight schedule leaves little time for public fanfare.

“We have to be focused on the season,” he said. “It will be a very tight period between the first day and the launch, a matter of weeks. I want everybody to focus on performance.

“We will have the launch of the championship and we will have the launch of the car. It’s already two events and it’s far too much [to do another].”
