Oscar Piastri wins the Sprint race at the Formula 1 Qatar Grand Prix after Lando Norris handed him the victory over the finish line.

Norris led every lap of the Sprint race, aiding his McLaren team-mate Piastri with DRS, but he slowed down before the chequered flag to allow Piastri to pass right at the end.

Piastri fended off the Mercedes of George Russell for 19 laps and his reward was victory in the last Sprint race of the season.

McLaren’s lead in the Constructors’ Championship has been extended by six points after the 1-2 achieved on Saturday.
