McLaren driver Lando Norris took pole position in Sprint Qualifying for the Formula 1 Qatar Grand Prix ahead of Mercedes’ George Russell.

Norris bounced back from the disappointment of Las Vegas to take pole for the Sprint race in Qatar.

His first lap time of 1:21.012s was enough to beat Russell who was 0.063s off from taking pole.

The other McLaren of Oscar Piastri rounded off the top three after he failed to improve on his first flying lap.

Pierre Gasly qualified eighth for Alpine ahead of its midfield rivals, Nico Hulkenberg in ninth for Haas and Liam Lawson rounding off the top 10 for RB.
