Earl Bamber, Alex Lynn, and Sebastien Bourdais will join JOTA for the team’s new factory partnership with Cadillac in 2025, it has been announced.

They join existing JOTA drivers, Will Stevens, Norman Nato, and Jenson Button as Cadillac expands its operations for the FIA World Endurance Championship to a full two-car operation, run by WEC stalwart JOTA.

The British team has been running a customer Hypercar programme in WEC, with two Porsche 963’s in 2024, winning the 6 Hours of Spa with drivers Stevens and Callum Ilott.

Cadillac, meanwhile, have been partnered with Chip Ganassi Racing for its factory operation in both WEC and the IMSA Sportscar Championship. However, the contract between the two was not renewed for 2024, with Cadillac choosing to partner with JOTA for WEC and Wayne Taylor Racing in IMSA.

The specific driver pairings in the #12 and #38 cars will be announced nearer the start of the season, which takes place in late February in Qatar, at Losail International Circuit. JOTA’s Hertz sponsorship will retained, with the full team name Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA.

‘An honour’ to partner with Cadillac, says JOTA

“It’s an honor for us to pair with such an iconic automotive manufacturer”, said David Clark, JOTA Sport director and co-founder.

“When you consider our collective records in the FIA World Endurance Championship, it’s very fitting that for the inaugural Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA driver line-up we have such an impressive breadth of world championship winning talent and experience.

“Cadillac’s pedigree in motorsport speaks for itself, and with these six drivers we will be in a strong position to challenge for race wins. Under the careful watch of ACO (Automobile Club de l’Ouest) President Pierre Fillon, WEC continues to go from strength to strength, and with more eyes than ever before on our races, and some incredible talent behind the wheel, we have no doubt that we’ll put on a good show next season.”

Meanwhile, Jon Roth, Cadillac vice president, said: “We look forward to a successful 2025 WEC season with our new roster of V-Series.R drivers.

“Racing provides an important testbed for Cadillac to transfer knowledge and technology between racecars and production Cadillacs, and our drivers are key to enabling this.”
