The battle for second place in the standings ensued as Weug and Pin traded blows throughout the race, both hoping to secure more crucial points.

Pulling got off to a great start while Pin and Weug engaged in a wheel-to-wheel battle heading into Turn 4.

Lia Block retained her qualifying position of fourth on the opening lap, holding off Spaniard Nerea Marti and hunting down Pin for third.

Haas-nominated driver Chloe Chambers snatched ninth place from Bianca Bustamante around Turn 4 on Lap 2, as the battle for points rages on.

The Wild Card entrant Ella Lloyd climbed up to seventh after overtaking Carrie Schreiner, finding herself behind Hamda Al Qubaisi just one second ahead.

Unlucky streak for Bustamante continues as she brings out safety car

Disaster struck for Bustamante as she spun heading into Turn 7 on Lap 4, bringing out a safety car and falling to the back of the grid.

The field was bunched up while Pulling led the pack around the street track, as the safety car restart kicked off in Turn 17.

Pulling, Weug pulled away from the rest of the pack after the restart, while Block fell under pressure from Marti.

Bustamante and Tina Hausmann made contact at the back of the pack heading into Lap 6, continuing an extremely unlucky streak for the McLaren Junior Driver.

Hausmann will pick up a penalty for the contact after turning into Bustamante, pushing the McLaren-sponsored driver off the track.
