Chloe Chambers earned her maiden F1 Academy win in Barcelona after jumping Championship leader Abbi Pulling off the line to win Race 2.

The Haas-sponsored driver dominated the race from start to finish, pulling 6.6s away from the rest of the pack as Hamda Al Qubaisi earned her first podium of the season.

This win puts her firmly in the fight for the Championship, equalling Pin in the Drivers Standings for second place.

Chambers got off to an incredible start, launching off the line to snatch the lead from Pulling before the first turn.

Pulling slotted in right behind the Haas-sponsored car of Chambers, while her nearest Championship contender Doriane Pin suffered another stalled start.

Pin lost three places off the line, dropping from third to sixth as she returned to her first race weekend after fracturing her ribs.

Tina Hausmann attempted an overtake around the inside of Lia Block at Turn 7 on Lap 1 but failed to make the move.

Warnings of jump starts plagued the grid as the race leader Chambers and fifth-placed driver Bianca Bustamante were investigated for false starts.

By Lap 2, Chambers set the fastest lap as she began to pull away from the grid as a battle ensued behind.

The top six drivers started to create a gap to the rest of the pack, as Pin put 2.5s on Jessica Edgar in seventh.

A five-second time penalty was handed to Jessica Edgar for leaving the track and gaining an advantage.

Several drivers across the feeder series racing in Barcelona have suffered from track limit penalties, including Chambers.

Chambers set purple sectors across Lap 5 to find herself 1.2s ahead of the Championship leader in second.

Pin searched to regain her starting position by tailing Bustamante on Lap 6, but failed to make the overtake.

Bustamante, mid-battle with Pin, picked up a five-second time penalty for exceeding the track limits on the first lap.

Block made an excellent overtake around the inside of Edgar at Turn 1 on Lap 7, climbing to seventh place.

Pin finally pulled off the overtake on Bustamante on Lap 7, jumping the McLaren-sponsored driver at Turn 4.

The Championship leader struggled to close the gap to Chambers in the lead, struggling with her front left tyres in the early morning cool temperatures.

By Lap 8, Chambers placed her Campos Racing car 3.2s ahead of Pulling as she gained more momentum in the car.

Hausmann jumped Edgar for eighth place on Lap 9, starting her hunt to regain the position Block snatched from her earlier in the race.

A four-car DRS train was formed going into Lap 10, as Nerea Marti tried to use the slipstream to overtake Pulling at the first turn.

While chaos ensued in the DRS train fighting for a podium spot, Chambers pulled 6.1s ahead of the pack.

Al Qubaisi overtook Marti for third place around the outside on the straight, capitalising off a lockup from the Spaniard.

The Red Bull Junior Driver hunted down Pulling with excellent pace, closing the two-second gap in one lap.

Al Qubaisi searched for her first podium of the season, looking to swap positions with Pulling for second place.

Meanwhile, Pin tailed closely behind Marti as she hoped to regain her starting position of third on Lap 14.

Lola Lovinfosse threw her Rodin Motorsport car around the outside of Edgar at Turn 7, earning a ninth-place spot in the points.

The backrunners struggled with tyre degradation by the last lap, as Aurelia Nobels locked up going into the final turn on Lap 15.

Edgar tumbled further down the order, as she was jumped by Carrie Schreiner, Emely De Heus and Lovinfosse in one lap.

Chambers ended the race in a dominant fashion for Campos Racing, securing a win on home soil for the Spanish team.

Pulling narrowly held her second-place spot to the charging Hamda Al Quibaisi who earned her first podium spot of the season in third.

Marti found herself in fourth after holding off Pin, finishing ahead of Block who scored her best finish of sixth.

Bustamante finished in seventh after retaining a place in the points despite her penalty, ahead of Hausmann in eighth.

Lovinfosse secured a ninth-placed spot ahead of De Heus who took the final spot in the points-scoring positions.
