The woman who made allegations of inappropriate behaviour against Red Bull Formula 1 Team Principal Christian Horner has been suspended, according to reports.

Horner had been the probe of an extensive investigation from the parent Red Bull GmbH company amid the aforementioned claims against him from a female employee.

But ahead of the first grand prix of the season in Bahrain last week, Horner was exonerated from the allegations through the findings compiled by an external barrister.

Upon being cleared, Horner, who had maintained denial, declared he’d been “confident” he would remain in charge of Red Bull’s F1 team, a position he’s held since 2005.

According to Sky News, the complainant in question attended work at Red Bull’s Milton Keynes base on Monday but has now been placed on suspension with full pay.

When asked to comment on the matter, a Red Bull Racing spokesperson said: “We are unable to comment as it is an internal matter.”

Horner continued to serve his various responsibilities at the helm of Red Bull F1 throughout the investigation and is present for this weekend’s Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.

The Briton, 50, will attend the FIA’s press conference following the first practice session on Thursday at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, host to the second F1 round of 2024.

Red Bull’s earlier statement noted that the complainant “has a right to appeal” the decision and it’s reported that a legal letter confirming this was delivered earlier this week.

Despite Horner being acquitted of the accusations, Max Verstappen’s father, Jos, came out and mentioned that his continued presence could “tear apart” the F1 team.

However, Verstappen’s Red Bull team-mate Sergio Perez disagreed with those words, insisting that Horner had “not only my support, the full team is fully behind him”.
