Formula 1 reveals record-breaking 24-race 2024 calendar
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The exciting Bahrain Grand Prix 2024 will take place over 57 laps of the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir in Bahrain. The 5.412 km circuit is waiting for the teams to test their cars and skills.

You’ll have to be patient until Saturday, March 2nd, to finally experience Formula 1, 2024. Why this date? Well, the reason is Ramadan, which starts on Sunday, March 10th. Due to the holiday, both the Bahrain and Saudi Grands Prix have been brought forward one day.

The races will now take place in Bahrain on March 2nd and in Saudi Arabia on March 9th.

Bahrain will play a significant role in the overall 2024 Formula 1 season, so all eyes are directed towards the upcoming Middle-Eastern spring schedule.

Our Formula 1 betting experts at CasinoOnlineCA have analysed the betting odds, teams, and drivers. We have reached out to long-time F1 strategy analysts to provide you with the most up-to-date expert 2024 Bahrain Formula 1 Grand Prix predictions. Read on for exclusive insights and much more.

Preview of the circuit

Bahrain and Saudi Arabia are not the only locations that will grace the 2024 FIA Formula 1 World Championship. China will be the season’s fifth round after several years on the side lines due to COVID 19.

The iconic British Grand Prix with, again, be at Silverstone on July 7th, and the season will say goodbye to the fans with the Abu Dhabi GP in December.

We’ll enjoy six Sprint weekends in different locations, and the pre-season test takes place at the same circuit in Bahrain from February 21st–23rd.

The Bahrain International Circuit opened in 2004 to welcome drag racing as well as the Formula 1 Bahrain Grand Prix. The circuit has multiple layouts and a FIA Grade 1 license.

The Crown Prince Shaikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa was the one to initiate the construction, and, luckily, everything was ready by 2004. The famous circuit saw many distinguished events in the following years, and now, two decades later, we are expecting a special jubilee season.

The problematic desert terrain caused some headaches for the organizers. Luckily for us, they managed to keep the sand from disrupting the races, enabling us to enjoy the unique Mad Max scenery.

Teams and drivers overview

The teams whose talent and bravery we will be observing this season include Williams, Sauber, McLaren, Mercedes and the legendary last season’s heroes, Red Bull.

The stunning cars will be operated by absolute talents like the reigning champ Max Verstappen, the top driver of Red Bull, who will be joined by his team colleague Sergio Perez, a driver that many betters have high hopes for.

The Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri pairing for McLaren and with Lewis Hamilton and George Russell, the dynamic duo for Mercedes, are among the names many enthusiasts are willing to bet on, for a good reason since they have proven to be more than capable.

One thing that hasn’t happened before is that all the drivers that competed in the last grand prix of last season all remain unchanged. Try betting on that happening again…

Performance analysis

Based on the previous season, the circuit will be a piece of cake for Verstappen since he took the pole position for the 2023 Bahrain Grand Prix, which opened an amazing season for him.

The 2022 round was a triumph for Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc, a popular name on the betting lists. Lewis Hamilton is no stranger to conquering the Bahrain Grand Prix either since he boasts three subsequent victories between 2019 and 2021, setting the circuit’s record. The recent winners are still active for their respective teams, so it is no wonder the betting predictions are a thrilling ride in their own right.

There have been some updates in the car models as well. Haas team was the first to introduce a modified version of its car. It happened in 2023 at the US Grand Prix in preparation for the current season. The tall side pod and the bathtub design have been replaced by a downwash effect concept originated by Red Bull. Still, their team principal, Komatsu, doesn’t believe they are ready to be a serious threat.

We’ll have to see if the last season’s strategies are repeated or not. For instance, last season Pirelli based the team strategies on the expectation the race would be a two-stop event. According to tyre manufacturers, the best option for the race start is soft tyres before switching to hard ones. A one-stop strategy would be a difficult attempt for any team, especially on this terrain, which is particularly hard on the tyres.

Betting odds and predictions

Let’s get down to what we all want to know. Who will win? How can we get some profits out of it?

The following sections will provide the list of odds for this season’s teams and drivers, which will let you see what happens in the other fans’ heads to help you make your wagering decision.

CasinoOnlineCA author and gambling expert James Segrest claims he will definitely try to think outside of the box before placing a wager this year.

Based on the previous seasons, we are well aware of the dark horse effect. Remember, the 2023 McLaren was the slowest car that ended up as the second-fastest race on the grid midway through the season, with a lot of help from teammates Lando Norris and rookie Oscar Piastri.

Aston Martin was also a huge surprise since his car was the best behind the Red Bulls. Fernando Alonso managed to finish on six podiums out of his first seven races, closely tailing the champion Verstappen.

Recent developments

How about the rule changes? Will they affect anything? Well, we cannot be certain, but here they are. The late 2024 changes refer to the restricted power unit allocation for internal combustion engine, turbocharger, MGU-H and MGU-K. For the seasons 2024 and 2025, this has been restored to four per driver.

Some other significant changes include rebranding for the Sauber team (Stake F1 Team) and Visa Cash App RB. Plenty of changes happened in the Haas team, who announced Oliver Bearman as the new reserve driver. Haas also notes Guenther Steiner’s departure. The good news is that Piastri will remain with McLaren until 2026.

Conclusion

The Bahrain Grand Prix 2024 is an anticipated event that will give us a lot of last season’s talent, as well as some new ideas, strategies, rebranding and new team members.

The odds for many teams and individual players are tight since they all have stunning past performances, which, of course, adds to the overall thrill. The teams will have a chance to test the terrain soon to organize their final strategies before clashing with others.

They all anticipate a strong start, which is always vital to secure a podium. We hope you are ready for the final confrontation because the clock is ticking.
