Hot on the heels of its partnership with make-up brand Charlotte Tilbury, F1 Academy added Puma to its list of commercial partners with an announcement on Tuesday.

As part of the multi-year agreement, Puma will supply race gear to F1 wild card entries at select rounds of the all-female single-seater series, along with drivers racing under a partner livery and footwear for F1 Academy staff.

The collaboration goes one step further and just like Charlotte Tilbury, Puma will back a driver on the grid.

Ferrari Academy driver Aurelia Nobels will campaign her rookie F1 Academy season in Puma colours for ART Grand Prix.

The 17-year-old, who has experience in Brazilian, Spanish and Danish Formula 4, completes ART GP’s driver line-up, alongside team-mates Bianca Bustamante and Lia Block.

“I’m super happy! It’s a new opportunity and I’m sure I’m going to learn a lot,” Nobels said (via the F1 Academy website).

“I’m going to do my best to represent Puma as well as possible. I love the livery. I think the car is very different and nice, I love the colours. It feels amazing, it’s a big brand and so special.”

“Through its collaborations with the world’s biggest artists and creators, PUMA has been able to push the boundaries between sport, lifestyle, and fashion to create streetwear which reaches a wider and more diverse audience,” said F1 Academy Managing Director Susie Wolff.

“This, coupled with PUMA’s strong motorsport legacy and its commitment to innovation make it the perfect brand to collaborate with F1 ACADEMY as the series looks to inspire a younger generation of fans.”

Maria Valdes, PUMA Chief Product Officer, added: “PUMA’s collaboration with F1 Academy is so much more than just a sponsorship; it’s a continued commitment to the advancement of female in sport, specifically Motorsport.

“This partnership feels natural to our brand as we continue to push sport and culture forward.”

Pre-season testing for F1 Academy is ongoing in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, ahead of the first round of the season on March 07 – 09.
