Horner: ‘Rocket scientist’ not needed to decipher Hamilton-Red Bull F1 contact

Red Bull Formula 1 boss Christian Horner is set to face a formal hearing by independent legal representatives on Friday, after alleged claims were made regarding his conduct.

Dutch newspaper outlet De Telegraaf revealed claims had been made by an employee against Horner’s behaviour, which the parent Red Bull company responded to on Monday.

“After the company was made aware of certain recent allegations, an independent investigation was launched,” a statement read.

“This process, which is already ongoing, is being carried out by an external, specialised lawyer.

“The company takes these matters extremely seriously and the investigation will be completed as soon as practical. It would not be appropriate to comment further at this time.”

The allegations made against Horner are unspecified and according to reports, the team boss will meet with the external legal reps at the end of the current working week.

Red Bull is set to unveil its RB20 car ahead of the 2024 F1 season on February 15, with the Austrian outfit reported as wanting a resolution to the matter before that event.

Meanwhile, Horner denies the claims and has carried on with his duties as Red Bull team boss, attending the F1 Commission meeting which was held in London on Monday.
