Streaming platform Kick has taken on naming rights to Sauber’s chassis in Formula 1 for the next two seasons.

Sauber Motorsport is in the process of evolving into Audi’s factory team when the German manufacturer enters Formula 1 under new regulations in 2026.

The squad has been known as Alfa Romeo since 2019 after taking on a branding arrangement with the Italian automaker, but that agreement ended after the 2023 season.

On Friday it was announced that the new name of the team will be Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber.

Kick has also acquired the naming rights to Sauber’s chassis, meaning next year’s car will be known as the Kick Sauber C44.

The arrangement will cover the 2024 and 2025 seasons.

“Sauber has always been about innovation, breaking the mould and defying convention,” said Team Representative Alessandro Alunni Bravi.

“The partnership with Kick.com is the latest and boldest display of the philosophy that drives us. Kick.com is redefining the way live streaming is done and they will adopt the same disruptive approach in the world of Formula 1.

“With Kick.com, our goal is to make the next step in finding new and innovative ways to get closer to our fans.”

AlphaTauri’s exact name remains to be officially confirmed, amid speculation that the squad is to undertake a rebrand for 2024.

On the FIA’s entry list, issued on Friday, the team’s chassis name has been listed as ‘RB’, with the official team name Scuderia AlphaTauri RB.
