The Alfa Romeo and Haas Formula 1 teams have been fitted with new Internal Combustion Engines for the Australian Grand Prix weekend.

All of the new parts have been fitted under the penalty-free quota, with each driver taking on their second engine.

However, it sparks further concern over the reliability of the Ferrari power unit.

At the season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix, Charles Leclerc ground to a halt late on the race while running in third place.

In Jeddah, which hosted the second round of the year, he took on his second ICE, as did team-mate Carlos Sainz.

Leclerc also used a third Control Electronics at the race in Saudi Arabia, which resulted in a 10-place grid demotion for Sunday’s race.

Outside of the Ferrari works and customer teams, only two other drivers have used a second ICE up to now – McLaren’s Lando Norris and AlphaTauri’s Nyck de Vries.

A number of drivers have been fitted with a new exhaust system for the race weekend.

These include the Mercedes duo, both McLarens, Alfa Romeo’s Valtteri Bottas, both Aston Martins, Haas’ Kevin Magnussen and the two Williams entries.
