Antonio Felix da Costa and Ricky Taylor will join Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA for the 2027 FIA World Endurance Championship, with Alex Lynn and Sébastien Bourdais set to leave the squad at the end of the current season.
Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA has confirmed two major changes to its driver line-up for the 2027 FIA World Endurance Championship, bringing in Antonio Felix da Costa and Ricky Taylor as it looks to build on its progress in the Hypercar category. The pair will join Jack Aitken, Earl Bamber, Norman Nato and Will Stevens in the Cadillac V-Series.R, while the departures of Bourdais and Lynn mark the end of a significant chapter for the programme.
Ricky Taylor and da Costa join the team
Ricky Taylor will make the step into full-time FIA World Endurance Championship competition after establishing himself as one of the leading drivers in North American sports car racing. The American has amassed 32 victories and 76 podium finishes in IMSA, bringing extensive prototype experience to Cadillac’s WEC effort. He is also no stranger to the team, having raced for Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA at Circuit of the Americas earlier this year while Lynn recovered from surgery. That experience should help ease his transition into the programme as he prepares for his first full-time campaign on the world stage.
Antonio Felix da Costa, meanwhile, returns to JOTA with a proven record in endurance racing and unfinished business at the highest level. The Portuguese driver previously represented the team during one of the most successful periods in its history and arrives with an FIA World Endurance Championship title and a class victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans to his name. His familiarity with JOTA, combined with his experience across prototype and GT competition, gives Cadillac another established race winner as it targets further progress in the Hypercar field. Da Costa spent this current season racing with Alpine in the Hypercar category.
“It feels really special to be coming back to JOTA. I have some amazing memories with this team, we achieved a lot together and I still have so many friends here, so in many ways it feels like coming home. At the same time, this is a completely new challenge and one that I’m incredibly excited about. The team has shown what it is capable of at the very highest level and I’m coming back with one goal – to help Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA fight for wins and championships,” said da Costa.
The appointments bring together a blend of experience, technical understanding and established relationships within the Cadillac organisation. With Taylor already familiar with the team’s operations and da Costa returning to a squad he knows well, JOTA will be hoping the new additions can integrate quickly ahead of the 2027 campaign.

Bourdais and Lynn set to depart
Sébastien Bourdais will leave Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA at the end of the current season after playing a central role in the programme since its inception. The Frenchman brought considerable experience and technical expertise to the project, helping establish the Cadillac V-Series.R as a competitive presence in the WEC. Across two seasons with the team, Bourdais contributed multiple podium finishes and provided valuable leadership during the development of the partnership between Cadillac and JOTA.
His departure closes a notable chapter in Cadillac’s endurance racing effort, although the current season is not yet complete. Bourdais has emphasised that his focus remains on the final two races, with the aim of finishing his time with the team on a positive note.
“I’m very proud of what we have achieved together over the last two seasons. Joining JOTA with Cadillac was a new challenge for all of us and it has been very rewarding to see how the programme has progressed and to have contributed to some strong results along the way. I’ve really enjoyed working with everyone at JOTA and continuing my relationship with Cadillac, and I have a lot of respect for the people involved in this programme. We still have two races to go this season, so my focus now is on doing the best job we can together and finishing on a high.,” said Sebastien Bourdais.
Alex Lynn will also leave the team, bringing his five-year association with Cadillac Racing to an end after two seasons with JOTA. The Briton has been a key figure in the development of the V-Series.R in the WEC, securing four championship pole positions, including the landmark Le Mans pole, and helping Cadillac achieve its first overall WEC victory at São Paulo. He was also part of the crew that secured Cadillac’s first overall podium at Le Mans and contributed to two overall victories at the Sebring 12 Hours.
“I’ve had an amazing time with JOTA over the past two years and with Cadillac Racing over the last five years,” said Alex Lynn.
“So many beautiful memories that I will cherish forever. I’ve had the honour of driving the car to four WEC pole positions, including the most special one at Le Mans, being one of the driving crew that took the first overall podium at Le Mans, the first overall WEC win and two overall Sebring 12 hour wins. Thank you to every person involved from both GM and from the teams I was fortunate enough to drive for, I hope I did you proud. I always gave everything I had, and will continue to do so for the last two races.”
Lynn is set to continue his Hypercar career with McLaren, joining its programme ahead of the manufacturer’s planned WEC debut in 2027. His experience with Cadillac’s prototype machinery should make him a valuable addition as McLaren prepares to enter the category, while his departure leaves Cadillac with a proven front-runner to replace in its existing line-up.
