Alex Quinn will step up to a full-time race seat with Team Peugeot TotalEnergies from the 2027 FIA World Endurance Championship season, continuing his progression with the Peugeot 9X8 programme under a multi-year agreement.
Quinn joined Peugeot as a Test and Development Driver for the 2026 campaign after impressing the team with his performances in endurance racing. His work during testing, combined with the quality of his technical feedback and close collaboration with the engineering team, has helped establish him as an increasingly important part of the programme.
The move to the full-time driver line-up marks the next stage of a career that has taken Quinn from karting and junior single-seaters into the top tier of endurance racing.
A multiple karting champion, Quinn made his mark in single-seaters by being named Rookie of the Year in both the British F4 Championship and the Formula Renault Cup. He subsequently switched his focus to endurance racing, taking on a dual programme in IMSA and the European Le Mans Series in 2024.
His first full season in endurance racing produced a runner-up finish in the ELMS LMP2 standings, while he also made his 24 Hours of Le Mans debut that year, finishing sixth in class.
Quinn continued to build his reputation in 2025, catching the attention of Team Peugeot and earning an opportunity to take part in the FIA WEC Rookie Test in Bahrain. At the Sakhir circuit, he drove the Peugeot 9X8 for the first time, giving the team an opportunity to assess his performance and feedback at Hypercar level.
That test ultimately led to Quinn joining Peugeot’s programme as a Test and Development Driver for 2026. Over the course of the season, his growing familiarity with the 9X8 and continued development work with the team strengthened his position within the programme.
Now, with that experience behind him, Quinn is set to make the transition from development duties to a full-time FIA WEC race seat in 2027, giving him the opportunity to compete regularly at the highest level of international endurance racing.
“Becoming an official driver for Team Peugeot TotalEnergies in the FIA World Endurance Championship is a dream come true,” says Alex Quinn.
“It has been fantastic working with the team throughout this year, both at the factory and during testing programmes. Stepping up to a full-time race seat is something I am incredibly excited about and something I feel ready for after my recent successes in other championships. Most importantly, I am extremely grateful to everyone at Team Peugeot TotalEnergies for this opportunity, and I hope this is the beginning of an exciting journey together.”
