Portland International Raceway was the setting for a thrilling IndyCar knockout qualifying session on Saturday afternoon.
With a screaming final lap, Felix Rosenqvist stole the pole away from Alex Palou. Rosenqvist earned his second pole of the season with the effort, completing his lap in 58.4828 seconds.
Palou earned a spot on the outside of the front row, followed by the Andretti Global duo of Will Power and Marcus Ericsson.

Romain Grosjean and Scott Dixon both clipped the inside of Turn 1 on their runs, which relegated them to 10th and 11th on the grid.
All three members of Arrow McLaren failed to advance out of the first round, making for a disappointing day for papaya squad.
Drivers will return to the track Sunday at 1:00 PM pacific time for 110 laps around the tricky circuit.
