The F3 pack battle for the Sprint Race win at the Hungarian GP

Theophile Nael grabbed the Formula 3 victory after a chaotic Sprint Race at the Hungarian GP.

After a hectic start, the reverse grid pole sitter, Kanato Le, lost the lead into the first corner as Gerrard Xie leapt ahead and into the front row from fourth place. However, a small mistake by the DAMS driver proved costly, giving Nael the opportunity to storm from P7 to P2.

The first and only Safety Car of the Sprint Race came on the first lap when contact occurred between Nakamura and Gladysz, taking them both out of the race.

In the front, a strong move from Nael led him to push ahead of Le and take the lead. From there on, the victory was in Nael’s hands as he continued a dominant drive for the remaining laps. He was joined on the podium by Le and Rivera.
