Marc Marquez claimed his second pole position of the 2026 MotoGP season at the Grand Prix of Hungary.
Marquez will start from the head of the field for the Grand Prix of Hungary. Despite a crash on his first flying lap, he was able to bounce back and secure pole position.
Pedro Acosta will start alongside Marquez, and will start from second on the grid on the KTM and was 0.053s behind Marquez.
Completing an all-Spanish front row was Fermin Aldeguer, who qualified in third place on the Gresini Ducati.
Fabio Di Giannantonio has gone under the radar during practice at Balaton Park, but will start from the second row in fourth place.
Francesco Bagnaia progressed through from Q1 to Q2 and will start from the second row of the grid in fifth place.
After winning the Grand Prix of Italy last week, Marco Bezzecchi will start from sixth at Balaton Park, with Raul Fernandez and Jorge Martin behind him in seventh and eighth.
The top Honda on the grid was Luca Marini in ninth place, with Trackhouse’s Ai Ogura in tenth place, LCR Honda’s Diogo Moreira in 11th place and Pramac’s Jack Miller in 12th.
Joan Mir was unable to secure a spot in Q2 as he qualified in 13th on the factory Honda, with Enea Bastianini alongside him in 14th.
Fabio Quartararo was flirting with a Q2 spot, but his final sectors let him down in Q1 as he could only manage 15th place on the grid.
Replacement rider Iker Lecuona showed form on Saturday morning as he qualified in 16th place on the Gresini Ducati.
Brad Binder will start from 17th place on the KTM, and Toprak Razgatlioglu will start from 18th place on the Pramac Yamaha.
Franco Morbidelli had a poor qualifying as he will start alongside Alex Rins and Maverick Vinales in 19th, 20th, and 21st places.
Finally, Cal Crutchlow qualified in 22nd place as he continues to replace Johann Zarco in the LCR Honda garage.
