Pedro Acosta continued to showcase his immense pace at the Balaton Park circuit to set the pace in Hungarian MotoGP timed practice.
Acosta was the fastest throughout the session and cemented his status with his best lap time of 1:36.827s which was enough to finish the day on top.
There were virtually no improvements on the final flying runs, which saw Acosta finish the session fastest by a healthy margin of 0.413s.
Fabio Di Giannantonio took second at the chequered flag, while Raul Fernandez completed the top three.
Fermin Aldeguer finished the second practice session in fourth ahead of Ai Ogura, who ensured both satellite Aprilias were inside the top five.
Marco Bezzecchi was sixth ahead of Marc Marquez in seventh, with Diogo Moreira trailing in eighth.
Jorge Martin’s best lap time was enough for ninth, as Jack Miller was the final rider to seal an automatic spot in Q2 in 10th.
Fabio Quartararo’s final lap was cancelled and he missed out on an automatic Q2 spot in 11th, although the French rider seemed to impede Toprak Razgatlioglu who took 12th.
Luca Marini was 13th ahead of a disappointing outing for Francesco Bagnaia in 14th, while Enea Bastianini finished 15th.
Joan Mir was 16th over the line ahead of Iker Lecuona in 17th, with the Gresini stand-in showing impressive pace despite his low ranking.
Brad Binder crashed on his final run and could only manage 18th ahead of Maverick Vinales, who dropped off the pace in 19th.
Franco Morbidelli took the flag in 20th, with Alex Rins in 21st and Cal Crutchlow in 22nd rounding out the standings.
