Genesis Magma Racing has revealed the race liveries that will appear on its pair of GMR-001 Hypercars at the 2026 24 Hours of Le Mans, marking the team’s first participation in the iconic endurance event. The design features a gradient that transitions from bright Magma orange at the front of the car to deep red at the rear, reflecting what Genesis describes as the energy and cultural identity of its Korean roots.

The new look is an evolution of the Magma concept livery first shown during the 2025 Le Mans weekend. According to Genesis, the colours are inspired by the volcanic origins associated with the Korean Peninsula and the idea of power beneath the surface. The livery also retains the Hangeul lettering for “magma” (마그마), which runs along the bodywork in a contrasting gradient. Both race entries will carry the design, although the #19 car will feature white logos and highlights, while the #17 entry retains orange-and-black accents.

Genesis Chief Creative Officer Luc Donckerwolke said the design reflected the importance of styling within the brand and responds to positive feedback from fans: “Fans and supporters have been vocal in their love of the Magma orange concept livery that was unveiled last year, and as always, Genesis takes our supporters’ feedback into consideration by bringing it to reality with a bold evolution,” he said. Donckerwolke added that the new design is “more than a race livery” and serves as “an artful statement — where colour and form convey the unique performance identity of Genesis.”

The reveal comes as Genesis Magma Racing continues its first season in the FIA World Endurance Championship. While the team scored points at the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps earlier this year, its focus remains on reliability ahead of its first 24-hour race. Team principal Cyril Abiteboul described Le Mans as “the biggest weekend of our year” and “the toughest test we face during the FIA WEC season, especially as a team in our first season.”

He also emphasized the significance of bringing the Magma identity to the circuit, saying: “Since we launched the team in December 2024, Magma has been a key part of our name and our identity, so to be able to bring Genesis Magma fully to life on track is very important.”
