The NTT IndyCar Series has revealed the Chevrolet pace car for the upcoming 110th running of the Indianapolis 500.
This year’s car is the 2026 Chevy Corvette ZR1X, which is one of the most powerful production cars the brand has ever made.
With 1,250 horsepower coming through all four wheels, a combination of a 5.5L twin-turbo V8 putting over 1,000 horsepower to the rear wheels and electric motors providing supplemental power the front, the car is no slouch.
In addition to speed, the car also features a carbon aero package and is painted in a striking dual-tone livery to give it the looks as well.
The special white and blue design was custom painted to appear Arctic White from the driver side and Admiral Blue from the outside of the track.
The Corvette also features flashes of stars and stripes incorporated into the livery in a nod to America’s 250th anniversary.
“As we celebrate America’s 250th anniversary, this Pace Car design reflects both where we’ve been and where we’re headed,” Chevrolet Global Executive Design Director Phil Zak said.
“Every element – from the badging to the colors – were deliberately crafted to honor this milestone while expressing a forward looking vision of Chevrolet design.”

This year marks the 37th time Chevrolet has provided the pace car for the Indianapolis 500, with 23 of those being a version of the Corvette.
Indiana University Head Football Coach Curt Cignetti will be the honorary pace car driver, and will bring the field of 33 drivers to green on race day.
Practice for the 110th running of the Indianapolis 500 begins on Tuesday, May 12, with the race itself taking place on Sunday, May 24.
