Aston Martin Reserve Driver Jak Crawford will take to the Suzuka circuit this weekend, driving for the team in FP1 for the Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix.
Fulfilling duties as Third and Reserve driver for Aston Martin from this season, Crawford will make his FP1 debut in Japan, replacing Fernando Alonso.
The Americans has completed a 3000kms for Aston Martin already, his outing this weekend fulfilling one of the mandatory rookie sessions enforced on teams.
Finishing third in the FIA Formula 2 championship in 2025, Crawford is currently without a race seat, with his FP1 session providing vital race-weekend understanding.
Taking on his role at Aston Martin full-time in 2026, Crawford looks set to become a vital part of Aston Martin’s recovery.
