Charles Leclerc was fastest in the morning session of the final day of Formula 1 pre-season testing in Bahrain.
The Monegasque’s Ferrari set the benchmark of 1:33.689s, two tenths quicker than Andrea Kimi Antonelli, who was second. Leclerc also clocked 80 laps, the second-highest total.
Antonelli also brought out a red flag midway through the morning’s running, with a loss of pneumatic pressure to blame for his W17 coming to a halt.
Oscar Piastri was third, a further four tenths back, with Esteban Ocon showing further promise for Haas with fourth place, setting the largest lap numbers with 82.
It was a tough morning for Aston Martin, with power unit issues carrying over from yesterday contributing to a truncated running for Lance Stroll, the Canadian clocking just two laps.
