Hit Netflix series Drive to Survive returns for an eighth season, premiering in February documenting the intensely dramatic 2025 Formula 1 campaign.
The streaming giant’s latest entry in the critically acclaimed docuseries will premiere globally on the platform on the 27th of February.
Drive to Survive has been a key catalyst in propelling the sport to stratospheric heights, especially in the US.
The format of the series gives a revealing insight into the behind-the-scenes drama giving unparalleled access to team bosses, drivers, and the burning storylines each year.
2026 will see the eighth edition of DTS – taking fans through a chaotic and intense 2025 season.
Episodes will revolve around Christian Horner’s shock sacking as Red Bull Team Principal and CEO as well as Max Verstappen’s meteoric comeback that eventually saw him relinquish his title to Lando Norris by just two points at the season finale in Abu Dhabi.
Anticipation surrounding the show is at an all-time high as fans will also be served with never-seen-before key plot points marking Lewis Hamilton’s nightmarish maiden season with Ferrari.
While details about each individual episode is yet to be released by F1 or Netflix, fans can also expect a concerted look at how the rookies fared both on and off track.
Expect to see Kimi Antonelli’s highs and lows with Mercedes, Isack Hadjar’s redemption, Ollie Bearman’s stellar rookie year and Jack Doohan’s struggles all documented.
While fans engage with 2025’s story, 2026 will kick off next week at a closed test in Barcelona, before moving to Bahrain in mid February.
