The drivers assigned for the task of spearheading the Audi Formula 1 project have shown off their new helmet designs for the 2026 season.
The German marque is making its debut in F1, taking over from the Sauber squad, the transition being led by Team Principal Jonathan Wheatley and project head Mattia Binotto.
Audi’s R26 challenger has already taken to the track, being the first of the 11 teams on the grid this year to do so, completing a shakedown in Barcelona two weeks ago.
Both Nico Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto completed 100km each, ahead of the first pre-season testing schedule, held at the same circuit, which takes place next week.
And ahead of the launch of the car, the two men have taken to their respective social media pages to release the first images of the lids that will peer from the cockpit.
Hulkenberg, posting a variant of his white helmet, with some red and black trim to match the Audi colours, wrote: “A special one. My 2026 helmet colours.
“Final race suit & car design will follow on Tuesday!”
