Mercedes has pledged it has “new dreams to achieve” in what it describes as a “mission statement” to its fans ahead of the new Formula 1 season.
The German marque enters 2026 off the back of a second-place finish in the Constructors’ Championship last year, with George Russell earning two wins.
It comparatively suffered across the whole of the ground-effect era of F1, winning just seven Grands Prix in four years, finding itself overtaken by rivals Red Bull and Mercedes in that time.
But with F1 set to enter its new regulations cycle, there is a feeling of a clean slate for all teams amid the uncertainty of which team has successfully interpreted the new rulebook the best.
Much of the rumours since last summer have deemed Mercedes’ powertrain the best from the indications of the initial tests, giving it an vague and unofficial label of favourites.

And on its social media on Thursday, the Brackley-based squad has set its goals, writing: “You, our fans, are woven into the fabric of who we are.
“As we move into a new era, we commit to taking you with us – closer to the action, the innovation and the ambition that drives us.
“Our journey is one of constant evolution: driven by performance, shaped by integrity and elevated by sophistication.
“Across the year, we will open new doors, share new perspectives and bring you closer to the heart of our bases at Lauda and Morgan Drive.
“We’ve got new dreams to achieve and we want you to be part of our team.”
Russell will once again be partnered by Andrea Kimi Antonelli, who ended his inconsistent debut season on a high note with podiums in both Brazil and Las Vegas.
The powertrains division will once again have three customers to serve, with Alpine replacing Aston Martin, joining reigning champions McLaren and a resurgent Williams.
