My moment of the year was at the season finale in Abu Dhabi.
In a make-or-break few laps, Lando Norris emerged from the pits after making his pitstop and found himself in a dangerous situation.
Should a Safety Car be deployed, his rivals would have track position and a tyre advantage.
Instead of collapsing under the pressure, as he did in Brazil 2024, he rose to the challenge.
Passing two cars in one corner, he then committed to passing Yuki Tsunoda’s poor attempt at using his Red Bull as a roadblock at full speed offline.
Those few laps were those of a champion and showcased just how far Norris’ race craft and critical thinking have matured in the last 12 months. Simply sublime.
