Williams will turn back time this weekend at the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix, as the team celebrates its title partnership with Atlassian with a 2002-inspired throwback livery.
The special edition design, unveiled at the Lone Star Ranch in Austin by Carlos Sainz, Atlassian Co-founder and CEO Mike Cannon-Brookes, and 2002 Williams driver Juan Pablo Montoya, marks a nostalgic yet forward-looking tribute to teamwork, innovation, and resilience, key values that both Williams and Atlassian have shared over the past 13 years.
This weekend’s livery incorporates the colour design of the FW24; the bold blue and white colours will be brought to life once more in Austin.
“Atlassian and Williams were both founded on teamwork,” said Atlassian CEO Mike Cannon-Brookes.
“Our beginnings were similar, two mates with big ideas and a hell of a lot of passion, ready to do something big.
“So we’re thrilled that Atlassian can now partner with Williams as they drive towards a new era of greatness, using technology to help power their move up the grid.
“This 2002-inspired livery celebrates both teams’ legacy and the bright future ahead for Atlassian Williams Racing.”

Montoya, who scored seven podiums for Williams in 2002, praised both the design and the message behind the special livery.
“It’s incredible to think about how much has changed in F1 since 2002, but the key ingredients for success have remained the same: teamwork, innovation, and a relentless determination to succeed,” he shared.
“Williams has always stood for these values, and it’s clear that in Atlassian, they have a partner that shares them.
“The throwback livery looks amazing and is a great way to celebrate this partnership and the team’s ambition to return to the top step of the podium.”
This sentiment was echoed by current Williams driver and recent podium scorer Sainz.
“The FW47 looks incredible in this 2002 retro livery, which I’m sure will be a fan favourite. I can’t wait to drive it at Austin this weekend,” the Spaniard expressed.
“I’ve seen first-hand how Atlassian’s software and approach to teamwork is helping move the team forward, and I’m excited about what the future holds.”
