A while ago we published a guide to collecting Formula 1 memorabilia here; in today’s article we look at the most collectable pick-ups for the coming festive season!

With Christmas just around the corner, there has never been a better time to grab that treasured item, either for yourself (it’s early enough not to get in trouble!) or a friend or for a loved one!

The Formula 1 collecting market continues to explode as the interest in the sport soars. With Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris tightly packed at the top of the driver standings, with seven and five wins respectively, that obsession is only set to intensify as the season progresses, with demand for the rarest items getting stronger.

As with all memorabilia, it’s the biggest stars that command the highest prices, so it’s no surprise that the most collectable drivers are the above two plus Le Clerc, Verstappen, Russell, and of course Lewis Hamilton.

There also is always a big demand for legacy drivers as well, so of course superstars like Michale Schumacher and others remain very collectable.

Everyone has a favourite, so, as with all types of collecting, buy what you love, and if funds are tight, pick up a signed photo, or a simple autograph as they are much more accessible than the high-ticket items, such as signed F1 helmets, shirts, caps, boots, gloves and other rare items. There is always time to rotate into higher priced items as funds become available.

Most collectors start small, then move up.

When it comes to buying for Christmas presents, these items make excellent gifts for an F1 loving partners, and there is much to choose from, from signed photos at under £20, up to display items from some of the sport’s biggest stars.

Here are some of the more modest items available for under £500.

Moving up the price bracket opens you up to more exclusive items aimed at the ardent collector. Some of these have been combined into duo or quad sets, which feature more than one driver.

The most expensive single items are signed shirts and helmets from the biggest stars. Take a look below at some of the most exclusive F1 memorabilia on the planet! We can’t think of anything better than a signed Oscar Piastri helmet signed on the visor, sitting in a protective Perspex case. Surely, the Holy Grail for the ardent collector!
